YOUNGSTOWN - Betty Copp, 90, passed away Thursday evening, April 11, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with her family by her side.
Betty was born March 20, 1934, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Frank and Sophie Buttry and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a graduate of East High School and dedicated her adult life to raising and caring for her family.
Mrs. Copp was a member of St. Angela Merici Church in Youngstown and cherished the community she found there. However, Betty's greatest joy and fulfillment came from the love and companionship of her family, and she treasured every moment spent with her loved ones.
Betty leaves to forever cherish her memory, her daughter, Janine Copp- Miligi, with whom she made her home; her grandson, Gavin Miligi; a sister, Helene Scardina of Boardman and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her husband of 63 years, Harry A. Copp, whom she married October 26, 1957, passed away April 10, 2020.
Betty's twin sister, Phyllis Balint and her brother, Albert Buttry also preceded Betty in death.
Family and friends may call from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.
Interment will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Austintown.
