Obituary

AUSTINTOWN – Beatrice Irene Tobey Cisek Ilovsky 96, passed away peacefully very early Thursday morning, Jan. 10, 2019, at The Woodlands at Austinwoods on Kirk Road.

Beatrice was born May 17,1922, in Hubbard, one of eight children born to George and Essie Mae Starkey Tobey.

She taught herself to play piano at an early age and played until she was 94, singing and serenading all. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.

As a teenager she played on a women's baseball team, and she loved to bowl, make crafts, and travel. Beatrice also worked for Isaly's and for Hill's Department Store.

She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Holy Name of Jesus Church in Youngstown.

In 1945, she married John Cisek, with whom she had four children. John preceded her in death in 1966. In 1986, she married Vincent Ilovsky, who preceded her in death Feb. 1, 2016.

Surviving her are two sons, Richard (Sharyn) Cisek of Boardman and Dale Cisek of Colorado; two daughters, Karen (Leon) Cox of Boardman and Pam (Dennis) Krauss of North Carolina; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her husbands, a great-grandchild, Logan Krauss preceded her in 2005. Brothers, Kenneth, Roy, Clyde, and Everett Tobey, and sisters, Donna Jean Tobey, Gladys Pavone, and Vera Small Piccard are deceased.

A private funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, and committal services took place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
