YOUNGSTOWN– Barbara J. Pucci, 85, passed away peacefully, Friday evening, December 27, 2024, at Hospice House following a brief illness.

Barbara was born December 30, 1938, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Frank Swartzen and Barbara Kunovich Swartzen. She was a lifelong resident of the Youngstown area, where she devoted her life to the love and care of her family.

Barbara was a devoted member of St. Angela Merici Parish and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially the companionship of her dogs and the time spent with her family. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

She is survived by her daughter, Jenni Lyn Pucci of Fort Mill, SC; her son, Richard A. Pucci Jr., of Austintown; a brother, Joseph Swartzen of Youngstown; a sister Rose Parrett of Girard; her granddaughter, Emma Eve Bailey of Fort Mill, SC; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Her husband of 31 years, Richard A. Pucci, whom she married June 17, 1971, died August 9, 2002.

An infant brother, Louis Swartzen and two sisters, Frances Strobel and Ann Scirocco also preceded Barbara in death.

Family and friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Barbara will be laid to rest beside her husband.

Barbara will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her faith, and her compassionate heart. May she rest in eternal peace.
