AUSTINTOWN - Antonio Nicola Manes, 87, passed away peacefully, Tuesday morning, December 3, 2024, at Hospice House.

Antonio was born March 4, 1937, in Montecilfone, Italy, a son of the late Pasquale and Carolina D'Inzeo Manes.  In 1966, he immigrated to the United States, making Youngstown his new home and embracing the opportunities of a new life.

A hardworking and dedicated entrepreneur, Antonio owned and operated Indianola Auto Body for an impressive 39 years, building a legacy of craftsmanship and integrity. Beyond his work, Antonio found joy in life's simple pleasures—he loved watching horse races, dancing, and, most of all, spending cherished time with his beloved grandchildren.

Antonio is survived by his four daughters, Denise (David) Ritchie of Canfield, Linda (Michael) Toth of Houston, Texas, Colleen Kovalchik of Canfield and Tina (Andrew) Pizzulo of Girard; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Adriana Manes, who resides in Italy and many extended family members.

His wife of 48 years, Joanne Marinelli Manes, whom he married January 9, 1972, died July 12, 2020.

Antonio was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bruno and Nicola Manes, and his sisters, Josephina, Rosa, and Giovanna Manes.

Private services were held to honor Antonio's life and legacy. His family finds comfort in knowing he is reunited with his loved ones who have gone before him. Antonio's warm spirit, hardworking nature, and devotion to family will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
