YOUNGSTOWN - Antoinette Marie Johnson, 65, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 14, 2017, at her home.

Antoinette, who was known by her middle name of Marie, was born Oct. 9, 1951, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Norman D. and Angeline M. Alioto Johnson, and was a lifelong area resident.

Marie graduated from Chaney High School and in her younger years worked at the Franciscan Friary on South Belle Vista Avenue in Youngstown.

She was an active member of St. Brendan Church in Youngstown. Antoinette was a member and former secretary of the church's Altar & Rosary Society, and she volunteered for the church's bingo fund-raisers and for the popular Lenten fish fries. She was a greeter at the Saturday, 4 p.m., Mass, and was always willing to lend a helping hand when needed.

Marie leaves several cousins, friends, extended family members, and her dog, Angel.

Family and friends may call from 10:30 to 11 a.m., Thursday, March 2, at St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Memorial contributions may be made in Marie's name to the St. Brendan Church Memorial Fund.
