YOUNGSTOWN - Anthony J. "Tony" Mashiska, 69, passed away early Friday evening, Jan. 22, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, following a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Tony was born Dec. 3, 1946, in Youngstown, a son of the late Anthony and Margaret Mosko Mashiska, attended East High School, and was a lifelong area resident.

He worked for Republic Rubber / Aeroquip, and was an auto mechanic for Youngstown Buick from 1973 until 1992, when he was forced to retire because of Parkinson's.

Tony leaves his wife, Sidna Holtzman Mashiska, whom he married March 4, 1970; his daughter, Michelle Mashiska of Youngstown, with whom Tony and his wife made their home; his son, Anthony W. Mashiska of Huron; a brother, Michael (Lynne) Mashiska of Hubbard; and a sister, Nancy Mashiska of Youngstown.

A sister, Connie Resek, is deceased.

Family and friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m.

Inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
