AUSTINTOWN - Anna May Sheets, 95, passed away peacefully, Wednesday evening, September 18, 2024, at Hospice House.

Anna was born April 26, 1929, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Tufic and Lucy Saad Budway. In 1964, she moved to the Youngstown area where she built a life of dedication and love. She worked as a bookkeeper for Joseph's Family Market in New Castle and later as a general manager for Zero Pest Control, but her greatest joy came from caring for her family.

Mrs. Sheets was a devoted member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown. In her free time, she loved playing bingo, visiting casinos, and traveling to Florida for vacations. However, nothing brought her more happiness than spending precious moments with her family..

Anna leaves behind her two sons, Robert A. Sheets of Austintown and Jeffrey R. (Julie) Sheets of North Lima; two beloved grandchildren, Emily Sheets and Garrett Sheets; and her sister, Wanda Barth of Austintown.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Robert C. Sheets, who passed away in 2007, along with her daughter, Kristen Sheets, and two sisters, Marian Budway and Norma Fukon.

Family and friends may gather to pay respects from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at St. Joseph Church 4545 New Rd., Austintown, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon.

Private interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
