Obituary

MCDONALD - Anna V. Reese, 91, passed away peacefully Friday morning, Sept. 11, 2015, at Hospice House.

Anna was born June 19, 1924, in Niles, a daughter of the late John and Mollie Sabo Rapchack, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was employed at the Ohio Leather Works for about ten years and dedicated her adult life to raising and caring for her family.

Mrs. Reese was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald, where she was a member of the church choir.

Anna was a wonderful baker, and her specialty was her homemade bread. She was also an avid bingo player, and was known as the "mother" of her neighborhood.

Her husband of 66 years, Morgan Reese, whom she married July 23, 1941, passed away Jan. 10, 2008.

Mrs. Reese leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Susan (Donald) Gano of Warren, Dorothy (Tom) Hannon of McDonald, and Carolyn Mackey of Champion; a son Dairl (Carol) Reese of McDonald; nine grandchildren, Donald, Christine, Brian, Stacy, Lori, Jackie, Kellie, John, and David; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, two sons, Morgan "Curly" Reese and John Reese; two daughters, Barbara Reese-Hanshaw and Sandra Reese; a grandson, Craig Mackey; a brother, Stephen Rapchak; and a sister, Mary Reese, preceded her in death.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., SUNDAY, Sept. 13, at Kinnick Funeral Home, McClurkin Memorial Chapel, 222 S. State St. in Girard.

Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on MONDAY, Sept. 14, at the funeral home and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 601 Indiana Ave., McDonald.

Interment will follow at Niles Union Cemetery, where Anna will be laid to rest next to her husband.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, OH 44514.
