VIENNA – Amber Marie Groff Hulsizer, 39, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at the Cleveland Clinic.

Amber was born March 4, 1976, in Youngstown, the daughter of Ruthann Barner Groff and Daniel Groff, and lived in this area most of her life.

She was a 1994 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, and later attended Youngstown State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in finance.

Amber worked for Delphi for 10 years, and dedicated the remainder of her adult life to raising and caring for her family. She was a devoted mother and always put her family first.

She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and coached the speech and debate team at JFK High School. Amber was a gifted artist and loved to sew and crochet, and her work won many prizes at the Canfield Fair. Amber was also a gourmet cook and loved to entertain.

She was a member of St. Stephen Church in Oil City, Pa.

Amber leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Bridget Grace Hulsizer; her son, Elliot Hulsizer; her mother, Ruthann Groff of Vienna, with whom she made her home; her father, Daniel Groff Sr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a brother, Daniel Jr. (Missy) Groff, of Newport News, Va.; an aunt, Debbie Zatvarnicky of Girard; a cousin, David (Amy) Zatvarnicky of Girard; her former husband, Joseph Hulsizer; aunts and uncles, Judy and Arnie Roman, and Bob and Ruth Groff; and many cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Amber will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Richard William and Grace Barner, and Stephen and Helen Groff; an uncle, Bill Barner; and a cousin, Melissa Barner.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon, Friday, Dec. 4, at Kinnick Funeral Home, McClurkin Memorial Chapel, 222 S. State St., Girard, where funeral services will take place at noon at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the funeral services, at Girard City Cemetery.
