AUSTINTOWN - William Edward Britton, 40, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
William, who was known to many as “Eddie,” was born April 19, 1979, in Youngstown, the son of Dale A. and Leslie Lawler Britton, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a graduate of Fitch High School and attended Eastern Gateway Community College to learn to be a machinist. Eddie worked as a roofer for various local roofing companies, and then cooked for Thanos Restaurant for the past five years.
He was a member of Highway Tabernacle in Austintown.
Eddie loved sports, and he enjoyed golfing and playing basketball. He was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and loved the time he spent with his family and friends.
Mr. Britton leaves his parents, Dale and Leslie of Austintown; his sister, Lacy (Charles) Davis; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Britton of Columbiana; a niece, Fiona Davis; a niece or a nephew “on the way;” and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Grandparents, Virginia Huffman, Richard Lawler, and William Edward Britton, are deceased.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, May 5, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, and from noon to 1 p.m., Monday, May 6, also at the funeral home. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home, and committal services will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.
