SEBRING - Thelia “Tee” Pfeifer-Wenstrom, 93, passed away peacefully early Wednesday evening, March 20, 2019, at her home at Crandall Medical Center after a long and fulfilling life.
Thelia was born March 10, 1926, in Limon, Colo., and was a daughter of the late Porter and Mabel Thompson. Tee made her home in many places in the U.S., including in Youngstown for over 20 years, and she moved to Sebring from Texas in 2011.
Tee worked as an accountant for many businesses throughout the country.
An active athlete into her golden years, Tee participated in the Senior Olympics and won many gold and silver medals for swimming.
She was a member of St. Ann Church in Sebring.
Thelia leaves two daughters, Ann A. (Tad) Kellish of Wadsworth and Linda C. (James) Dolak of Poland; seven grandchildren, Michael (Kelly) Kellish, Lisa (Damian) Davenport, Amy (Ray) Hasenyager, Jonathan Kellish (fiancé Penney), Nathan (Christy) Kellish, Emily (Paul) Wyrzykowski, and Billy Ray Pfeifer; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Tee’s first husband. Dr. George F. Pfeifer, and her second husband, Ronald Wenstrom, are deceased. A son, William R. Pfeifer; two brothers, Porter Thompson and John Thompson; and a sister, Hannah Thompson, also preceded her in death.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service celebrating Tee’s life that will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 29, in the chapel at Copeland Oaks, 800 S. 15th St., Sebring, OH 44672.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
