POLAND - Rosemary Dellick Cifalde, 90, entered into eternal life while her daughters held her hand, early Sunday morning, Sept. 30, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center after a long fulfilling life.
Rosemary was born Sept. 23, 1928, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Walter and Anastasia Maletich Dellick, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Cifalde was a June 1946 graduate of East High School. In her younger years, she worked for Ohio Bell before devoting her life to raising and caring for her family. Rosemary also worked part-time outside the home at the Board of Elections during primary and general elections.
She was an active and lifelong member of the now St. Angela Merici Parish, Sacred Heart Church, where she belonged to the Ladies Guild and was chairlady of the Sunshine Committee, sending cards to parishioners on a weekly basis and on special occasions.
Rosemary liked bingo, going to casinos, and buying lottery tickets. She enjoyed watching movies on the Hallmark Channel, especially the channel’s original movies featuring “Mr. Darcy.” Mrs. Cifalde truly loved family gatherings and holiday parties.
Rosemary leaves her son, John K. (Linda K.) Cifalde of Poland; two daughters, Stacy (Tom) Piette of Campbell and Linda L. Cifalde, with whom she shared her home; three grandchildren, Jason Piette, Gianna Cifalde, and Alyssa Cifalde; two brothers, William Dellick Sr. of Campbell and James Dellick of Poland; a sister-in-law, Mary Grace Cifalde; a brother-in-law, Anthony Cifalde; her caregiver, Kathy Piette; and many extended family members.
Her beloved husband of nearly 45 years, John J. Cifalde, whom she married Sept. 8, 1956, passed away April 22, 2001. Besides her husband, a sister, Kathryn Dellick, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Theresa Dellick, Joseph Dellick, Thomas and Jean Dellick, Frank and Edith Dellick, and Elizabeth Dellick, are deceased.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
Family and friends may also call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, at St Angela Merici Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 397 S. Jackson St. in Youngstown, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Coitsville, where Rosemary will be laid to rest next to her husband.
