YOUNGSTOWN - Robert E. Morris, 75, of the city’s west side, passed away Friday evening, March 15, 2019, at Select Specialty Hospital in Youngstown following a brief illness.
Robert was born April 19, 1943, in Franklin, Pa., and was the only child of Margaret Anna Morris. He was raised by his mother and his stepfather, John Granlee, and came to this area in 1946 as a child with his family.
He served in the United States Navy, and worked for 33 years for Cold Metal Products, retiring as a slitter operator.
He was a member of Austintown Baptist Church.
Robert leaves his wife, Charlotte Martin Morris; four sons, Robert T. (Bonnie) Morris of Newton Falls, Daniel Morris of Youngstown, Kenneth Morris of Youngstown, and Brian Morris of Youngstown; a daughter, Donna Morris of Youngstown; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Sheila, and his second wife, Audrey, are deceased.
Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, at Austintown Baptist Church, 1180 S. Raccoon Rd., Austintown, where funeral services will take place at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow the church services, and will be at Tod Homestead Cemetery in Youngstown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.
