AUSTINTOWN - Robert Lee Haid Jr., 58, passed away Monday evening, Nov. 19, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Robert was born Jan. 2, 1960, in Charleston, W.Va., a son of the late Robert Lee Sr. and Mildred Lucille Bibbee Haid, and came to this area with his family as a child.
He was a 1978 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and worked for Transport America Trucking for 28 years.
Mr. Haid was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing golf, and riding ATVs. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Conley Haid, whom he married June 27, 1981; a son, Bryan Haid of Austintown; a sister, Carolyn Haid-Hinrichs (Tom) of Stow; two brothers, Don (Cheryl) Haid of Berlin Center and Ken Sr. (Sandy) Haid of Austintown; many nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.
A son, Kevin Haid, and a sister, Sandra Haid White, are deceased.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 26, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.
Family and friends may also call from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the funeral home, where funeral services will take place at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow the services at the funeral home, and will be at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Austintown.
