YOUNGSTOWN – Patricia A. Ipe Ragan, 75, passed away Friday evening, Oct. 26, 2018, at Greenbrier Healthcare Center following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Patricia, who was known to all as “Patty,” was born Oct. 13, 1943, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Byron C. and Mildred Finzel Ipe, and spent her life in this area.
She was a 1961 graduate of Boardman High School, and worked for many years in the Mahoning County Court system housekeeping department, retiring in 2015 at the age of 72.
Patty liked sports and was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes football team, and of the New York Yankees.
Patty leaves a brother, Robert (Pat) Ipe of Akron; two nephews, Erich (Kellee) Ipe and Jonathan (Rachel) Ipe; five great-nieces and great-nephews; and several cousins.
Her husband, Paul J. Ragan, passed away Feb. 17, 1997. A cousin and her best friend, Georgia Smith, passed away May 23, 2018.
All are welcome to attend a funeral service which will take place at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd. Youngstown.
Interment will follow at Four Mile Run Cemetery in Austintown, where Patty will be laid to rest next to her husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Ohio Veterans Memorial Park, 8005 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Clinton, OH 44216.
