GIRARD - Patricia J. Johnson, 79, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, June 21, 2018, at Hospice House, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Pat was born March 27, 1939, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John and Theodora Pruskowski Kozyro, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a graduate of Girard High School and worked for Standard Slag for 10 years. Pat later dedicated the remainder of her life to raising and caring for her family.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Pat’s greatest joy was her family and the time she spent with them. Pat also enjoyed baking and visiting casinos.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 53 years, Jeral Johnson, whom she married April 24, 1965; two daughters, Karen (Todd) Scarbrough of Grove City and Janeen (Robert) Pasho of Marshallville; two grandsons, Ryan and Derek Pasho; and a sister, Theresa (James) Bodnar of McDonald.
Pat will be truly and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 25, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 222 S. State St., Girard. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow calling hours, and will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St., Girard.
Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
Pat’s family would like to thank the staff of St. Elizabeth Health Center’s ICU; the staff of The Blood & Cancer Center; and the staff of Hospice House, for the kindness shown and care given to Pat and her family throughout her illness.
