YOUNGSTOWN - Melvin “Bud” Parrish Jr., 71, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, March 29, 2018, at his residence following a brief illness.

Melvin was born Oct. 11, 1946, in Youngstown, a son of the late Melvin Sr. and Betty Shotts Parrish, and was a 1964 graduate of South High School.

After graduation, Bud worked for Strouss’ Department Store in downtown Youngstown in the receiving department and on the loading dock. He leaves two daughters, Nicole Parrish, and her daughter, Alexis, with whom he shared his home, and Jessica Hidey of Youngstown; and three grandchildren, Alexis Anderson, Justin Leedy, and Andrew Parrish.
