AUSTINTOWN - Lucille Margaret Naso, 94, formerly of Deerfield Beach, Fla., passed away Saturday afternoon, March 30, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital after suffering complications from a stroke.
Lucille was born Jan. 5, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, and was a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Malfitano Brockmiller. She made her home for many years in Florida before coming to Youngstown in November of 2017 to be closer to her daughter.
Lucille served in the U.S.O. during World War II, and worked for many years (until she was 90 years old) as a security guard and greeter for a gated community in Florida.
Lucille leaves her daughter, Joanne V. Naso, with whom she shared her home; her son, Edward (Mary Ann) Naso of Cresskill, N.J.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Lucille’s husband, Nathan C. Naso, whom she married June 1, 1947, passed away July 4, 1978.
Per Mrs. Naso’s wishes, there are no calling hours. Private services will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
