Louis Brumbaugh Obituary

POLAND - Louis M. Brumbaugh, 87, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, June 30, 2018, at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Louis was born Nov. 19, 1930, in Altoona, Pa., a son of the late Lewis and Alice Kaufman Brumbaugh, and came to the Mahoning Valley from Bedford, Pa. in 1950 as a young man.

Lou worked as a self-employed truck driver and diesel mechanic. He enjoyed yardwork, cutting grass on his riding mower, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.

Lou leaves his wife, Patricia Pegg Brumbaugh, whom he married April 26, 2013; a son, James Brumbaugh of North Lima; a daughter, Barbara (Al) Shives of Poland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol (Myrl) Musselman of Bedford, Pa.; seven stepchildren, Kim (Dan) Davanzo, Dan (Darlene) Strawbridge, Leslie (Dave) Hicks, Dana (Patricia) Burchell, Courtney (Matt) Walker, Brandon Burchell, and Emily (Chris) Durick; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and his loyal canine companion, Buster.

His first wife, Audrey E. Benish Brumbaugh, whom he married Dec. 17, 1977, passed away Aug. 5, 2011. A daughter, Christine Michalski died in 2003. Infant twin children died at birth. A stepson, Jeffrey A. Strawbridge, and two sisters, are also deceased.

There are no services or calling hours, per Lou’s wishes.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
