AUSTINTOWN - Joyce Elaine Morrison, 50, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, May 11, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, following a brief illness.
Joyce was born Dec.13, 1967, in Warren, a daughter of Jimmy Lee and Loretta Jones Ratliff. She was a raised in Austintown and was a 1986 graduate of Fitch High School.
Joyce was a homemaker who was a devoted wife and mother. She also worked outside the home for the Austintown School System for 15 years as a custodian and cafeteria worker at various schools.
Mrs. Morrison was a kind, caring, and compassionate person with a big heart, and she was a hard worker. She loved animals, enjoyed gardening and riding motorcycles, and she loved country music, especially the music of George Jones.
Joyce leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 25 years, Ronald L. Morrison, whom she married Oct. 17, 1992; four children, Jesse R. Morrison, Emily R. Morrison, Grace E. Morrison, and Faith A. Morrison, all of Austintown; her mother, Loretta of Austintown; her father, Jimmy Lee of Philippi, W.Va.; two sisters, Jody Fabian of Carrollton and Jamie (William) Johnson of Hermitage, Pa.; a brother, James N. (Karen) Ratliff of Austintown; her mother-in-law, Carol A. Morrison of Youngstown; and a sister-in-law, Michelle (Mike) Edwards of Poland.
Joyce will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where funeral services will take place at 6:30 p.m.
