YOUNGSTOWN - James D. Kerensky, 35, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at his home.
James, known to all as “Jimmy,” was born April 13, 1982, in Youngstown, a son of Robert D. and Mary G. Harvischak Kerensky, and lived his life in this area.
He was a graduate of Chaney High School and had attended the New Castle School of Trades. Jimmy was self-employed, working various jobs during the last several years.
He enjoyed country music, bowling, and educational televison, liked virtual reality and video games, was a longtime avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and he enjoyed watching The Walking Dead on televison.
Jimmy is survived by his mother, Mary Harvischak Kerensky, with whom he made his home; his son, James D. Kerensky Jr. of Austintown; a sister, Danielle Wiery of Youngstown; a brother, William Kerensky of Youngstown; many extended family members and friends; and his dogs, Cocoa and Mocha.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; his twin sister, Darlene M. Kerensky; and by his grandparents, Mary and William Harvischak, and Iona and Donald Kerensky.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 26, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
Funeral services will begin at 10:15 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, at the funeral home, and will continue at 11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Angela Merici Church, 400 Lincoln Park Drive in Youngstown.
