BOARDMAN - Helen A. Fabrizio, 91, passed away Wednesday evening, Sept. 19, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Helen was born Dec. 7, 1926, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Kocsis Hozdik, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Fabrizio was a 1945 graduate of South High School and worked as a bookkeeper for 11 years after graduation for various local businesses, including St. Elizabeth Hospital.
She was an active member, along with her husband, of the former Our Lady of Hungary Church in Youngstown, where she belonged to the Rosary Confraternity.
Helen liked decorating and sewing, and she dabbled in oil painting. She loved the beach, and enjoyed the sun and sand during her trips to Florida with her family. Mrs. Fabrizio also enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband.
Her beloved husband of 65 years, Henry L. “Hank” Fabrizio, whom she married June 24, 1950, passed away July 27, 2015.
Helen leaves her daughter, Monica Dorko of Boardman; her beloved granddaughter, Danielle McClain of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Hozdik of Boardman; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, a sister, Mary Hagyi; two brothers, Joseph and John Hozdik; and a son-in-law, Joseph Dorko, are deceased.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 24, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where funeral services will follow at 6 p.m.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband.
