GIRARD - Harold N. Walker Jr., 93, passed away at Shepherd of the Valley in Niles.
Harold was born March 4, 1925, in Youngstown, and was a son of the late Harold N. Sr. and Charlotte E.G. Clark Walker.
Mr. Walker attended Liberty High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II.
He worked as a millwright with Carpenters Local No. 171 and for various contractors, retiring in 1989.
Harold attended Pleasant Valley Church and Liberty First Assembly of God. He enjoyed restoring antique cars, studying the bible, and he enjoyed spending time with his family.
His wife of 62 years, Mary E. Brandozzi Walker, whom he married May 4, 1946, passed away Sept. 21, 2008.
Mr. Walker leaves two sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Jean Walker; a brother-in-law, Dan Powers; and eight nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, a sister, Gloria Powers, and two brothers, Lester and Wayne Walker, preceded him in death.
Services will take place Saturday, Dec. 29, at 11:30 a.m. at Liberty First Assembly of God on Belmont Avenue.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 222 S. State St., Girard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Walker’s name to Liberty First Assembly of God.
