NORTH CANTON - Elizabeth O. “Betty” Waltman, 90, formerly of Youngstown, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, in Canton.
Elizabeth was born Dec. 7, 1927, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Polinsky.
She was a 1946 graduate of Chaney High School, attended Youngstown College, and was an assistant women’s fashion buyer for Strouss’ Department Store. She later became a full-time homemaker who devoted her life to raising her children.
Betty was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and of The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Mrs. Waltman was preceded in death by her husband William Waltman, whom she married Feb. 27, 1949, and an infant brother, John Polinsky Jr.
Betty leaves her daughter, Lynn (Timothy) Fearon, with whom she made her home; her son, Rick (Christina) Waltman of Youngstown; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Private committal services will take place Saturday, Oct. 27, at Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
