Dear Lois (Pippi),
You may remember me. I lived up the street on Donald Avenue, across from Stambaugh School. I was friends with Carrie Lengyel in grade school, and that's how I met you.
My deepest condolences on the passing of your Mother. It is so difficult! My Mom and Dad passed recently, and I carry them with me every day in my heart. Although I didn't know your Mom too well, I do remember your Mom and your Dad and Carrie's Mom, talking together one time that I was at your house. It was a very warm atmosphere! :)
One time I was waking home from Kathy Stetts' house, way down from Donald, at night and it looked like a car was going to stop by me, and I frantically went up to your porch, pretending to knock on the door! Your house probably saved my life!
