GIRARD - Thomas Boyd Lukehart, 85, passed away late Sunday morning, Aug. 14, 2016, at Hospice House, with his wife by his side.
He was born Jan. 20, 1931, in Punxsutawney, Pa., the son of the late Boyd and Ruth Grazier Lukehart, and was known to all as Boyd. He was a graduate of Connolly Trade School in Oakmont, Pa., and came to Youngstown in the late-1950s.
He worked as a television repairman and also worked as a biomed technician at St. Elizabeth Health Center, retiring in 1993.
Mr. Lukehart was 32nd-degree Mason and a former member of the Argus Lodge and the Aut Mori Grotto. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, and traveling, and he especially liked going on cruises.
Boyd leaves his wife, Joanne Hinchcliff Lukehart , whom he married June 8, 1998; three children, Joseph (Georgianna) Lukehart of Boardman, Darlene Schultz of Youngstown, and Thomas (Kathy) Lukehart of Boardman; six granddaughters, Nicole (Jason) Depp, Brooke Schultz, Kayla (Rickey Krell) Schultz, Heather Schultz, Amanda (Matt) Romeo, and Sarah Lukehart; five great-grandchildren, Ava, Jonah, Ellianah, Julian, and Addalyn; and a sister, Dixie Berner of Tyrone, Ga.
Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown. Family and friends may also call from 9 to 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 18, at the funeral home, where funeral services will follow at 10 a.m.
