Stephanie K. "Pep" Chuparkoff
March 23, 1929 ~ April 30, 2016 (age 87) 87 Years OldMCDONALD - Stephanie K. Chuparkoff, 87, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 30, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, with her family by her side.
Stephanie, who was known by many as “Pep,” was born March 23, 1929, in McDonald, a daughter of the late Frank and Barbara Tandarich Tankovich, and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Chuparkoff was a 1947 graduate of McDonald High School and devoted her adult life to raising and caring for her family.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McDonald.
Pep was a wonderful homemaker and greatly enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, and gardening. She especially enjoyed hosting family gatherings with her children and grandchildren.
Her husband, Atty. George A. Chuparkoff, whom she married May 10, 1952, passed away Feb. 22, 1999.
Mrs. Chuparkoff leaves to cherish her memory four children, George S. (Kathy D.) Chuparkoff of Highland Heights, Barbara (Joseph) Bogle of Watsontown, Pa., Stephen Chuparkoff of Canfield, and David (Gail) Chuparkoff of Sterling Heights, Mich.; six grandchildren, Samuel, Margaret, Alex, Hanna, Suzanne, and Christopher; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Stephanie will be truly and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her husband, a brother, Michael Tankovich, also preceded Stephanie in death.
Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 5, at Kinnick Funeral Home, McClurkin Memorial Chapel, 222 S. State St., Girard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Friday, May 6, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 618 Ohio Ave., McDonald.
In lieu of flowers, Stephanie’s family requests memorial contributions take the form of donations to Youngstown Area Ostomy Support Group, 11550 South Avenue, North Lima, OH 44452.
