AUSTINTOWN - Robert W. Jack, 83, passed away late Wednesday morning, April 6, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Robert was born Oct. 22, 1932, in Youngstown, a son of the late Carl and Helen Burkett Jack, and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Jack was a 1950 graduate of East High School and worked in the payroll offices of the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad (later Conrail).

Bob was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Austintown, where he sang in the church choir. He volunteered at several local nursing homes and loved going to various sporting events and concerts. He loved nature and was a regular visitor to Mill Creek Park. Most of all, Bob loved spending time with his family.

Bob leaves his wife of 60 years, Maureen Copanic Jack, whom he married Aug. 20, 1955; eight children, Robert F. (Jeanalee) Jack of Youngstown, Mary (Erik) Jorgensen of Georgia, Kenneth Jack of Youngstown, Patricia (Paul) Borys of Nevada, Glenn (Valerie) Jack of Youngstown, Richard Jack of New Mexico, Sheryl (Adam) Gentile of Florida, and Jennifer (Michael) Chetosky of Michigan; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Donald and Edward Jack, are deceased.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, April 10, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m., Monday, April 11, at the funeral home, and continue with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Norquest Boulevard in Austintown.

Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Coitsville.
