Richard Kacenga
December 15, 1934 ~ September 17, 2017 (age 82) 82 Years OldAUSTINTOWN - Richard Kacenga, 82, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, Sept. 17, 2017.
Richard was born Dec. 15, 1934, in Youngstown, a son of the late Joseph and Katherine Sopkovich Kacenga, and was a lifelong area resident.
Richard worked at Goodwill Industries for several years, and helped his cousin by working at his gas station.
Mr. Kacenga was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Holy Name of Jesus Church in Youngstown.
He was a big fan of Elvis Presley, and he truly enjoyed the trip he took to Memphis to tour Graceland. Richard also enjoyed “dining” at McDonald’s.
Richard leaves many nieces and nephews, including Patricia Lipkovich, who cared for him for many years; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Three brothers, Stephen, Joseph, and Lawrence Kacenga, and two sisters, Kathryn Barto and Mary Spencer, preceded him in death.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
