Paul J. Futkos

BOARDMAN - Paul J. Futkos, 77, passed away Sunday morning, March 12, 2017, at his home following a brief illness.

Paul was born Nov. 5, 1939 in Youngstown, a son of the late John and Mary Varga Futkos, and was a lifelong area resident. 

Paul was a graduate of The Rayen School, and worked for General Motors at the Lordstown Plant since Oct. 10, 1966, retiring after 37 years of service.  

Mr. Futkos was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

His wife of 44 years, Beverly Jean Hoover Futkos, whom he married Feb. 18, 1961, passed away Dec. 20, 2005.

Paul leaves two sons, Matthew John (Shelley) Futkos of Austintown and Douglas Scott Futkos, with whom he shared his home; two daughters, Karen Jean Eberth of Boardman and Mary Beth “Betsy” (John) Ficarro of Pinehurst, North Carolina; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Megan, Mannon, Morganne, Andrew, Macey, and Madison; two brothers, George (Marilyn) Futkos of Willowick and John Jordan of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and a sister, Irene Musolino of Youngstown. 

Besides his wife, a son, David Paul Futkos, and a sister, Helen Sirn, are deceased.

Private services have been held at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Youngstown.

Memorial contributions may be made in Paul’s name to Grace Hospice, 7206 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.

Arrangements were entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.
