Patricia J. Volinchak

AUSTINTOWN - Patricia J. Volinchak, 87, passed away peacefully late Saturday afternoon, April 15, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

Patricia was born Oct. 9, 1929, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Bernard and Mae D. Kana Archer, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a graduate of South High School and dedicated her adult life to raising and caring for her family. Additionally, she worked outside the home for McKelvey’s Department Store.

Mrs. Volinchak was a longtime member of St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church. She loved decorating, yardwork, and enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
        
Patricia’s beloved husband of 53 years, Mike R. Volinchak, whom she married July 19, 1952, passed away Feb. 7, 2006.

Pat leaves a son, Michael W. “Mitch” Volinchak of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a daughter, Cathy Rawlings of Streetsboro; four grandchildren, Nicholas (Crystal) Volinchak of Austintown, Adam (Stephanie) Volinchak of Columbus, Ashley Volinchak of Austintown, and Scott W. Rawlings Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Samuel Morales and Lillian Grace.

Besides her husband, a son and daughter-in-law, William Volinchak and Deborah Volinchak; a brother, Robert Archer; and a sister, Bette Bugar, are deceased.

Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, April 20, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where funeral services will take place at 1 p.m.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Patricia will be laid to rest next to her husband and son.
