Olga Jean Papach

NEW WILMINGTON, PA. - Olga Jean Papach, 64, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 7, 2016, after being taken to Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pa., following an extended illness. 

Olga lived at the Overlook Nursing Home in New Wilmington for the past five years.

Olga Jean was born May 21, 1951, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John Frank and Olga Belieff Papach, and moved with her family to Enon Valley, Pa. as a child.

She was a 1969 graduate of Mohawk High School and attended Youngstown State University.

Olga worked for the State of Ohio and the Bureau of Unemployment in Youngstown before moving to Reston, Va. in 1980 to work as a secretary for the Central Intelligence Agency. She moved back to the area in the early 2000s, and worked as a transcriber for the Fish & Wildlife Agency.

She was a lifelong member of Nativity of Christ Orthodox Church in Youngstown.

Olga leaves a brother, John (Robin) Papach of Enon Valley; two sisters, Linda “Lydia” (John) McNicol of Guilford Lake and Beverly (Dr. John) Kolehmainen of Enon Valley; nieces and nephews, Dr. William Kolehmainen, Lydia (Mark) Arnold, Dr. Natalie Kolehmainen, Jessica (Greg) Hennon, Larissa (Justin) Conner, Kristen (Richie) Mulzet, and Stephanie Papach; and five great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services were held Saturday, April 9, at Nativity of Christ Orthodox Church, with the Rev. Fr. Michael Lillie officiating. Interment took place at Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
