AUSTINTOWN - Maureen Delores Jack, 83, passed away late Thursday morning, Oct. 6, 2016, at her home following an extended illness.

Maureen was born March 18, 1933, in Youngstown, a daughter of Anthony B. and Mary Jane Yambar Copanic, and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Jack was a graduate of The Rayen School and worked as a legal secretary before dedicating the remainder of her life raising and caring for her family.

Maureen was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Austintown, where she sang in the church choir for 21 years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, shopping, and bingo. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.

Maureen’s husband of 60 years, Robert W. Jack, whom she married Aug. 20, 1955, passed away April 6, 2016.

Mrs. Jack leaves eight children, Robert F. (Jeanalee) Jack of Youngstown, Mary (Erik) Jorgensen of Georgia, Kenneth Jack of Youngstown, Patricia (Paul) Borys of Nevada, Glenn (Valerie) Jack of Austintown, Richard Jack of New Mexico, Sheryl (Adam) Gentile of Florida, and Jennifer (Michael) Chetosky of Michigan; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Copanic of Hubbard and Gene Copanic of Coitsville; two half-brothers, Kenneth and Dennis Copanic; and a half-sister, Beverly Aubel.

Besides her husband, her father, Anthony Copanic, and her mother, Mary Jane Yambar Repasky, preceded her.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Funeral services will begin at 10:15 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, at the funeral home, and continue with a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Norquest Boulevard in Austintown.

Interment will take place at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Coitsville, where Maureen will be laid to rest next to her husband.
