Hey Maitza,

It's been almost 5 years and I still call our old phone number, just in case, you know, maybe you'll pick up? You sacrificed yourself for me, for everyone. You gave me everything and asked for nothing and I love you more every day.

You are in heaven, and of course can't see this, and don't even have a recollection of me or your wonderful life down here. In heaven, this life doesn't matter.

People like to believe that their loved ones can look down on them from heaven, but if you could look down on me and not be able to be with me, you would be in hell, not heaven.

God however see this and he knows how much I ache for you and would give anything just to see you one more time. I suppose in heaven, you will recognize me, but I think it will be as a child of God, a soul, and most likely not as my beloved Mother here on Earth.

But as long as I am alive here, you are my Mother. I hear your voice, I see your face, and I remember every good moment and bad moment I shared with you.

May you rest in peace my beautiful Aunt Mary. You will be remembered fondly as the positive, effervescent and cheerful person you were, always with a smile on your face. Enjoy bei g reunited with Uncle Chuck. I know my mom is going to miss her phone calls. They were sisters AND friends.
Love you always,
Maria
