Mary Lou Roth

AUSTINTOWN - Mary Lou Roth, 90, passed away peacefully early Tuesday evening, Oct. 3, 2017, at Omni Manor Care Center in Youngstown.

Mary Lou was born June 20, 1927, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late William and Mary Gartland Eldridge, and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Roth was a 1945 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Youngstown, and was a homemaker who dedicated her adult life to raising and caring for her family.

Mary Lou was of the Catholic faith and was affiliated with Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown.

She enjoyed reading and watching movies, and spending time with her family.

Mary Lou leaves four children, Robert E. Roth Jr. of Struthers, Lawrence J. (Sharon) Roth of Austintown, Marilyn Roth, with whom she made her home, and Mark R. Roth of Austintown; six grandchildren, Nancy, Sara, Rebecca, Mark E., Shelly, and Matthew; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Roth’s beloved husband of 61 years, Robert E. Roth Sr., whom she married Sept. 8, 1951, passed away Oct. 3, 2012. Besides her husband, Mary Lou was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Moran.

Private services were held at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown, where Mary Lou will be laid to rest next to her husband.

Her family thanks the staff with Omni Manor, for the kindness shown and care given to Mary Lou and her family during her time there.
