Maria Louise Perello

POLAND - Maria Louise Perello, 60, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, Nov. 20, 2015, at the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Maria was born June 10, 1955, in Canfield, a daughter of the late William and Maria Zimmerman Briceland, and lived most of her life in the Mahoning Valley.

Maria graduated from Ursuline High School in 1973, earned a bachelor’s degree in child development from California Polytechnic State University in 1982,  and devoted the remainder of her adult life to raising her children and caring for her family.

Mrs. Perello was a member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown. She loved her family, her animals, and she loved the Lord.

Maria leaves her husband, Michael A. Perello, whom she married Dec. 13, 1982; two daughters, Melissa (Rob) Newman of Gilbert, Ariz. and Melanie Perello of Indianapolis; two sisters, Bernadette Melchionne of Torrence Calif. and Katherine Gerdes of Cleveland; and two brothers, Patrick (Mary Grace) Briceland of Poland and Michael Briceland of Youngstown.

A son, Tony Hood, preceded Maria in death.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.

Funeral services will begin at 11:15 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home, and will continue at noon with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Christine Church on South Schenley Avenue in Youngstown.

Committal services will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
