Lucy Anna Kalmer
July 25, 1925 ~ June 21, 2016 (age 90) 90 Years OldYOUNGSTOWN - Lucy Anna Kalmer, 90, formerly of Rexford Road, passed away Tuesday morning, June 21, 2016, at Briarfield Manor in Austintown following a lengthy illness.
Lucy was born July 25, 1925, in Coitsville, a daughter of Romanian immigrants, the late Harry and Anna Pasku, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a graduate of Kent State University, and became a homemaker who dedicated her adult life to raising and caring for her family.
Mrs. Kalmer was a member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown, and she enjoyed bingo.
Her beloved husband of nearly 67 years, Martin G. Kalmer, whom she married Oct. 19, 1946, passed away Aug. 17, 2013.
Lucy leaves her son, Martin G. (Bobbi) Kalmer of Austintown; four grandchildren, Michelle Ragan Houlihan of Washington, D.C., Sheree (Travis) Green of California, Martin D. Kalmer of Cortland, and Victoria Kalmer of Austintown; and three great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Blake, and Brodan .
Besides her husband, two daughters, Carol “Cookie” Joseph and Pamela Jean Kalmer; a sister, Irene; and a brother, Harry, preceded her in death.
Family and friends may gather from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, at St. Christine Church on South Schenley Avenue, where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
