BOARDMAN - Lawrence N. “Larry” Scarazzo, 62, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 25, 2017, with his family by his side in the comfort of his home.

Larry, son of the late Lawrence A. and Beverly A. Baillie Scarazzo, was born April 18, 1954 in Youngstown. He was a 1972 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and a truck driver for R.L. Lipton Co. for many years before driving for Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. in Middleburg, Fla.

Mr. Scarazzo enjoyed umpiring in the Mill Creek Junior Baseball League in Youngstown, socializing with his friends at Kramer Fields, and watching his grandchildren play sports. Larry valued a well-maintained lawn and took great pride in anything he applied himself to. He enjoyed the simple things in life - spending time with his family, grilling, and ‘cruising’ on the porch with his dog, Comet.

Larry leaves his wife, Terry Bainbridge Scarazzo, whom he married April 20, 1992; three daughters, Amber (Bill) Cochran of Austintown, Lindsey (Stephen) Love of Nashville, Tenn., and Hannah Scarazzo (Bryan Ericsson) of Boardman; grandchildren, Maddyson and Anthony Cochran, and Ellie, Jude, and Cash Love; three sisters, April (Bill) Dornan of Poland, Darlene (Jim) Donatelli of Kent, and Marlene (Terry) Popovich of Pensacola, Fla.; in-laws, Thelma (Bill) Metz of Boardman, Paula (David) Farcas of Austintown, Mary Kay Patrick of Austintown, and Thomas (Tony) Bainbridge of Austintown; many nieces and nephews; and his loyal dog and “son,” Comet.

A sister-in-law, Karen Price; a brother-in-law, Robert Bainbridge; his mother-in-law, Jacqueline Bainbridge; and his father-in-law, Robert Bainbridge, preceded him in death.

Family and friends will be welcomed to celebrate Larry’s life at a later date, to be announced.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Larry’s family suggests that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution do so by donating to the funeral home to help defray the costs of final expenses.

“We come together on this special day
Sing our message loud and clear
Looking back, we've touched on sorrowful days
Future pass, they disappear
You will find peace of mind
If you look way down in your heart and soul
Don't hesitate 'cause the world seems cold
Stay young at heart, 'cause you're never, never old”
