Kevin D. Barone

AUSTINTOWN - Kevin D. Barone, 51, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, May 14, 2017, after suffering a heart attack at his home.

Kevin was born May 29, 1965, in Butler, Pa., a son of Don and Carol Anderson Barone, and came to this area with his family as a child in 1966.

He was a 1983 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, and currently worked at the General Motors Fabricating Plant in Lordstown for the past 22 years. He also worked part-time for Fab Limo.

Mr. Barone attended Believer’s Church, and was a member of UAW, No. 1714, and of Masonic Lodge, No. 276, in Columbiana. 

Kevin loved the outdoors, and he enjoyed riding motorcycles, cars, racing, and cooking.            

Kevin leaves his parents, Don and Carol of Austintown; two sons, Anthony (Brittany) Barone and Alec Barone, each of Youngstown; his granddaughter, Lillian Tillery; his fiancé, Julie Brennan of Youngstown; a brother, Don Barone Jr. of Salem; a sister, Cheryl (Salem) Rashid of Butler; many nieces and nephews; and many extended family members.

Kevin’s wife, Diana Lane Barone, whom he married in 1986, passed away in October of 2015.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Family and friends may also call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, at the funeral home, where funeral services will take place at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
