NOBLESVILLE, IND. - Katherine “Kay” Konyshak, 83, formerly of Youngstown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, April 10, 2016, at her home in Indiana.
    
Katherine was born Sept. 18, 1932, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Michael and Stella Wolkowicz Senediak, and lived in this area until moving to Indiana 10 years ago.

She was a graduate and prom queen of the class of 1949 at Chaney High School.

Mrs. Konyshak was a homemaker and a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Youngstown.

Kay leaves her son, Kenneth (Kimberly) Konyshak, with whom she made her home; three grandchildren, Derek Konyshak of Louisville, Ky., Corey Konyshak of Nashville, Tenn., and Kailee Konyshak of Noblesville; three brothers, Frank (Trudy) Senediak of Austintown, Charles (Margie) Senediak of Austintown, and John (Norma) Senediak of Lanexa, Va.; and three sisters, Ann (Phillip) Damore of Scottsdale, Ariz., Evelyn Gazella of Carnegie, Pa., and Dolly Tesone of Columbus.

Her husband, Stephen Konyshak, whom she married Nov. 1, 1952, passed away Feb. 8, 1996. A brother, Peter Senediak, and a sister, Mary Cataffa, also preceded her in death.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, April 16, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown

Funeral services will begin at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, and will continue at noon at Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, on N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown.

A committal service will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Youngstown, where Kay will be laid to rest next to her husband.
