Karen A. Huggins

YOUNGSTOWN - Karen A. Huggins, 71, of the city's west side, passed away Friday afternoon, Feb. 10, 2017, at Hospice House following an extended illness.

Karen was born Jan. 19, 1946, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Alex and Josephine Keosky Miller. She was raised in Girard, graduated from Girard High School, and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Huggins was a homemaker who dedicated her adult life to raising and caring for her family.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Austintown. She loved reading, spending time with her family, and socializing with her friends.

Karen leaves her husband of 40 years, Paul C. Huggins, whom she married Jan. 22, 1977; two daughters, Shannon (Glen) Puhalla of Gibsonia, Pa. and Erin (Donn) Craig of Troy; a stepson, Sean (Kimberly) Huggins of Springdale, Ark.; a stepdaughter, Tricia (Robert) Sisk of Acworth, Ga.; and 14 grandchildren, Thomas, Lucy, Annie, Nicholas, Jacob, Ben, Rileigh, Devon, Gabe, Erica, Linda, Evie, Jack, and Grant.

A sister, Beverly Miller, is deceased.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
