To Jared's parents: I was at St. Luke with your boys, initially in class with Jake. They never ceased to make me laugh.

Losing a child is so hard. I am so sorry you now share in that painful club with me. I lost an infant son nearly 7.5 years ago. I know how devastating it is. I am so sorry.

To Jared's wife and children: I'm so sorry you lost Jared. I only knew him as a kid, and he was pretty ok to preteen me. I'm sure he was so much more to you guys. I'm so sorry.
