Helen A. Shirilla Marsh

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP - Helen A. Shirilla Marsh, 83, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 20, 2016, at The Cleveland Clinic, with family by her side.

Helen, who was affectionately known to many by her nickname, “Honey,” was born Aug. 7, 1933, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Steven and Elizabeth M. Molnar Shirilla. She was a 1953 graduate of Liberty High School, and was a lifelong resident of Ohio.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed caring for and “spoiling” her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews, all who loved her dearly.

Her loving husband of 56 years, Nick Marsh, whom she married April 30, 1955, passed away Dec. 23, 2011.

Mrs. Marsh leaves a sister, Dorothy Adams of Liberty Township; nieces and nephews, Diana (Robert) Hogg, Rocky (Dawn) Adams, Kim (Mark) Gennaro, Tim Adams, Chris (Elaine) Adams, Janice Zupko, Julie (Tom) Anderson, Carla Marsh (Ken) Marquette, Julie Marsh (Tony) Parise, Christine Marsh Snyder, Charles Marsh III, Sherry Jo Tirone, Kathy Marsh, and Becky Marsh; great-nieces and great-nephews, Stephanie, James, Christina, Scott, Nicholas, Jacqueline, Brian, Cory, Jill, Carrie, Zoe, and Zachary; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Natalie, Emily, Dempsey, Mia, and Johnny.

Besides her husband, a brother, John Shirilla, and a nephew, Joseph Tirone, preceded her in death.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place a 6:30 p.m.

Interment will take place at Belmont Park Cemetery at a later date, where Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband.
