McDONALD - Evelyn E. Corman, 87, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Vibra Hospital of Mahoning Valley in Boardman, surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Evelyn was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Homestead, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Anna Boytim Vereb, and came to McDonald in 1959.

She was a graduate of Munhall High School in Pennsylvania and dedicated her adult life to raising and caring for her family.

Mrs. Corman was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McDonald, and was a member of its Altar and Rosary Society.

She greatly enjoyed cooking, hosting family get-togethers, playing cards, and Evelyn especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

Her husband, Charles Corman, whom she married Oct. 9, 1946, passed away Dec. 11, 2010.

Mrs. Corman leaves to cherish her memory, six children, Donna Schriner of McDonald, John Corman, David (Cathy) Corman of McDonald, Drew Corman of Milford, Debbie (Mark) Jamison of McDonald, and Evie (Jim) Seivert of McDonald; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Irene Vereb of McDonald.

Evelyn will be truly and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, July 22, at Kinnick Funeral Home, Girard Chapel, 222 S. State St., Girard.

Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at the funeral home and will continue with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 618 Ohio Ave., McDonald.

Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown, where Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband.
