Elia A. Malley
September 12, 1920 ~ January 29, 2016 (age 95) 95 Years OldYOUNGSTOWN - Elia A. Malley, 95, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, Jan. 29, 2016, at Omni West Assisted Living.
Elia was born September 12, 1920, in Mahoningtown, Pa., a daughter of the late Nicola and Assunta Leone Rubbo.
Elia was a graduate of East High School and worked at Ohio Bell for 17 years, retiring in 1986. She also worked for the Mural Room, and for Strouss’ Department Store restaurants in downtown Youngstown and at the Southern Park Mall.
She was a member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown, and enjoyed growing and attending to her roses.
Elia leaves two sons, Jeffrey (Vickie) Malley of Juneau, Alaska and Charles Malley of Mississippi; two grandchildren, Jeffrey II (Chellie) Malley and Kaira Malley; a sister, Gloria Jean Rubbo of Youngstown; and a brother, Mario Rubbo of Canfield and of Florida.
Three sisters, Irene Rubbo, Viola Bosela, and Alba Osso, and two brothers, Theodore and Rolando Rubbo, are deceased.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of Elia’s life at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, at St. Christine Church on South Schenley Avenue in Youngstown.
