Eleanor J. Mook

LORDSTOWN - Eleanor J. Mook, 91, formerly of Boardman, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, Dec. 1, 2016, at her home with her family by her side.

Eleanor was born Feb. 7, 1925, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Joseph and Gabriella Toth, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, and was a homemaker who dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family.

Eleanor enjoyed puzzles, reading, watching television, and spending time with her family.

She was a member of Gibson Heights Second Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Mook leaves her son, H. Dale (Alvenia) Mook of Okeechobee, Fla.; her daughter, Diane (Ron) Pitcovich of Lordstown, with whom she made her home; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Donna Round and Delores (Glenn) Johnson, both of Columbiana.

Eleanor’s husband, Donald G. Mook, passed away May 7, 2006. Besides her husband, three sisters, Josephine, Irene, and Emma; and three brothers, Albert, Robert, and William, preceded her in death.

Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown, where Eleanor will be laid to rest next to her husband.
