Edward C. Sullivan
February 16, 1949 ~ August 5, 2017 (age 68) 68 Years OldSTRUTHERS - Edward C. Sullivan, 68, passed away unexpectedly late Saturday afternoon, Aug. 5, 2017.
Edward was born Feb. 16, 1949, in California, a son of Edward C. and Shirley Hern Sullivan, and came to Youngstown with his family as a child.
He attended The Rayen School and proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Ed worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years, retiring as a clerk at Youngstown's main post office.
Ed was a Ford Mustang enthusiast and a member of the Mahoning Valley Mustang Club.
He leaves his daughter and granddaughter, Kathy Sullivan and Clara Moran, with whom he shared his home; his daughters, Erica Sullivan of Cleveland and Melissa Stoddard of Austintown; his son, Ryan Rauschenberg, of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren, Donovan, Noah, Siera, Kourtney, Colin, Maria, and Gage; his siblings, Shirley (Frank) Bevins, Merilee (Stanley) Stevens, Denise (Ron) Skowron, Margaret Manion, Patricia (Jesse) Alvarado, Sean (Kelly) Sullivan, Lawrence Sullivan, Marianne Badger, Betsy Stein, Michelle (James) Burwell and Michael Reynolds; and the "love of his life" his 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302!
His mother and stepfather, Shirley and Ted Ostavitz; his father; and a brother, John Sullivan, preceded him in death.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m., conducted by the Tri-State Marine Corps League.
