Christopher J. Green

AUSTINTOWN - Christopher J. Green, 18, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, April 6, 2016, at Valley Care Northside Medical Center.

Christopher, who was known to all as “C.J.,” was born Jan. 29, 1998, in Youngstown, a son of David and Sheila Hollis Green. He lived in Austintown for much of his young life, and attended Austintown Fitch High School.

C.J. attended Crossroads Church and enjoyed art, working with his hands, riding his bicycle and RipStik, and music. C.J. loved to “joke around” and make people happy, and he will always be remembered for his “heart of gold.” 

He leaves his parents, David and Sheila, with whom he made his home; three sisters, Celine Green, Kiyara Green, and Alexis Green, all at home; grandparents, Kathy Massengale Hollis of Odessa, Texas; Ed and Altia Hollis of Rankin, Texas; and Linda and John Morelli of Austintown; a great-grandfather, Austin Green of Austintown; a great-grandmother, Janette Terwilliger of Austintown; and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Green; and his great-grandparents, Jacqueline Green, Leslie Terwilliger, and Rev. W.H. and Ada Massengale.

Family and friends may call from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 11, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place at 2:30 p.m.

Interment will follow at Brunstetter Cemetery in Austintown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
