Carole Elaine Kapturasky

YOUNGSTOWN - Carole Elaine Kapturasky, 78, of the city's west side, passed away early Saturday morning, July 23, 2016, at Hospice House following an extended illness.

Carole was born June 14, 1938, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Clarence and Bertha Seaborn Walters, and was a lifelong area resident.

She attended The Rayen School, and became a homemaker who dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family. Mrs. Kapturasky also worked for the former Hills Department Store in Boardman, for Conroy's IGA in the deli department, and for Mill Creek Dairy.

Carole was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards with her family, arts & crafts, and she enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Carole's husband of 57 years, John T. Kapturasky Sr., whom she married Feb. 14, 1959, passed away June 25, 2016, just four weeks prior to Carole's passing.

She leaves three children, John T. Jr. (Lori) Kapturasky of Canfield, James Kapturasky of Youngstown, and Charlene Kapturasky of Youngstown; two grandchildren, Jared and Alaina; and a brother, Carl (Beverly) Walters of Canfield.

Besides her husband, a brother, Clarence "Sonny" Walters, and five sisters, Beverly Nameth, Audrey Sharp, Lois Zupko, Rose Ann Bisso, and Betsy Jo Yeany, are deceased.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 North Meridian Road, Youngstown, where funeral services will follow at 7 p.m.

Private committal services will take place at Brunstetter Cemetery in Austintown.
