YOUNGSTOWN - Ann Borovitcky, 62, passed away peacefully early Wednesday afternoon, April 26, 2017, at Hospice House following a brief illness.

Ann was born Jan. 25, 1955, in Youngstown, a daughter of Stephen and Katherine Kravetz Borovitcky, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1973 graduate of Chaney High School and was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church. Ann was a volunteer with the church’s pyrohy fundraising project, was a member of the choir, and worked for a time as the church secretary.

Annie had a special gift and love for crocheting, and she generously shared her creations with family and friends. She was very proud of her Ukrainian heritage, and Ann and her mother made sure that family traditions were not abandoned. She loved family gatherings, and always made those occasions very special. She adored her nieces and nephews, and thoroughly enjoyed being with them while they grew up.

Ann leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Katherine; two brothers, Stephen (Patricia) Borovitcky of Youngstown and Michael (Sherry) Borovitcky of Boardman; and four nieces and a nephew, Donna (Christian), Stephanie (Casey), Kevin (Ashley), Michelle, and Nicole.

Annie will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her father, Stephen, preceded her in death.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., today, Friday, April 28, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd., Youngstown, where a prayer service will take place at 4:30 p.m.

Funeral services will take place at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 29, at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown.

It was Annie’s request that anyone wishing to make memorial contributions do so in her name to Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church.

"Vichnaya Pamyat, Dear Annie!"
